addition will include the costs for excavation, concrete footing and
concrete foundation work. DHC Concrete
Construction also includes any concrete cutting needed for access to
your new room addition, all drain tile, sump pit and water proofing
materials and installation needed to conform to local building
codes, backfilling the room addition foundation and the removal of
all excess dirt. When DHC Concrete Construction is finished you will
be ready for the carpentry work to begin on your new room addition.
We begin by laying out the area to be excavated for the room
addition concrete footings and foundation walls which is followed by
actually excavating the room addition site. Once the excavating work
is completed we will begin forming the concrete footings and perform
any concrete cutting of your existing home foundation that needs to
be done for access to your new room addition.
After the excavation and footing forms are completed, an inspection
will be made by the building inspection department of your local
 municipality.
After the inspection is completed we will pour the concrete
footings, pier pads and begin the layout of the concrete foundation
walls for your addition.
The next steps are to begin placing and bracing the concrete wall
forms and pouring the actual concrete foundation walls for the room
addition. After the room addition foundation walls have cured, any
damp proofing or water proofing materials would be installed or
applied. DHC Concrete Construction will then backfill your
new room addition foundation and remove all excess dirt. Your room
addition construction project is then be ready for rough framing by
your carpentry contactor.
